Guinness Uganda is officially launching a new stout dubbed ‘Guinness Smooth’. It is the latest addition to the Guinness family and has a uniquely smooth and refreshing taste.

Guinness Smooth is a distinctive, flavourful beer with the perfect balance of sweet and bitter to achieve smoothness and refreshment that everyone can enjoy. It is a new expression of Guinness developed by the Guinness master brewers.

The local brewing team in Uganda has worked closely with the international brewers in Dublin, the home of Guinness, to deliver an exciting and stand out beer that is perfect for casual get-togethers with friends.

Guinness master brewer Peter Simpson is already in Uganda ahead of the launch.

Peter Simpson is a Guinness master brewer, based at the St James’ Gate Brewery in Dublin, the home of Guinness.

He has been working with the local brewing team to develop a brand new stout – Guinness Smooth, working closely with the local brewing team here in Uganda to develop the liquid and make sure that we have a truly unique product that is perfect for everyone to enjoy when out to catch up with friends.

A source at Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) said many of the ingredients used to brew the beer are sourced locally.

“Guinness Smooth is brewed using only the finest natural ingredients, many of which are sourced locally. With the coffee and rich notes from the roasted barley marrying with a fruity, butterscotch flavour from the brewing process, Guinness Smooth is truly unique.”

The beer is only making its way to Uganda for the first time since its inception in 2003. It is identified as a softer version of Guinness which still has the same refreshing effect.
